retreat facilitators Rodney and Karis Riley

Rodney and Karis Riley live in Effingham, Illinois, and have been married for over fifty years.  Their 42-year-old son, Heath, died from a massive heart attack in 2022.  They also have a daughter, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  Rodney retired from Caterpillar after 35 years, and Karis retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 34 years.  They enjoy serving in their local church, in the worship band and tech team, where they have been members since 1994.  They are so thankful to God for his mercy, grace, and patience, as they continue to walk this unfamiliar path of grief.  He is good and forever faithful.
