retreat facilitators Karis Riley

Karis Riley lives in Effingham, Illinois, and has been married to her husband, Rodney, for over fifty years.  Karis’s 42-year-old son, Heath, died from a massive heart attack in 2022.  Karis and Rodney also have a daughter, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  Karis retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 34 years and works as the Office Manager of a Christian school.  She enjoys serving in her local church, where she and Rodney have been members since 1994.  Karis is so thankful to God for his mercy, grace, and patience, as she continues to walk this unfamiliar path of grief.  He is good and forever faithful.
