It is both the current and historical position of the While We’re Waiting ministry that expressions of sexual intimacy outside the bonds of monogamous, heterosexual marriage are prohibited by scripture* and therefore contrary to our statement of faith. WWW believes that upholding biblically consistent standards of personal conduct and discipline in matters of sexual expression are essential to the overall effectiveness of our ministry. At the same time, WWW has sought to provide a source of refuge for the hurting and for spiritual healing, restoration, and renewal.  

As we strive to extend the grace of Christ to all, WWW requires that the conduct of our guests be consistent with our beliefs.  Couples who are not in Biblically-based marriages may attend WWW events, but will be assigned separate guest rooms for the duration of the retreat.
