retreat facilitators Dan and Tammy Doyle

Dan and Tammy Doyle raised their 2 boys, Connor and Sean, in a military environment and loved navigating every new adventure as a foursome.  In 2007 they retired from the Air Force and moved from Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK to Knoxville, TN.  After college, their boys returned to Alaska, Connor in 2018 and Sean in 2020, where they lived together.  On January 12, 2023, Sean was at the beginning of his 1-hour commute home when he hit an ice patch, crossed into the path of a semi-truck, and was killed instantly.  Sean, forever 26, had a quick wit, an ability to be present in every moment, and a unique approach to life that fascinated his family and friends.  Dan and Tammy like to imagine Sean finding out “what it’s like to ride a drop of rain”* as he awaits his family’s arrival to heaven where they can resume their adventures.  Psalms 18:30
